Both Ball mill and Raymond Mill belong to the grinding machine, but there are big differences between them. Now we will explain the characteristics and differences of the two devices to provide some help for you when purchasing the equipment.
The ball mill is composed of the feeding part, discharging part, rotary part, transmission part (reducer, small transmission gear, electric motor, electric control) and so on. B all mill is mostly horizontal. But Raymond mill is vertical structure, which is composed of host, analyzer, fan, finished cyclone separator, micro-powder cyclone separator and duct composition.
The feeding size of Raymond Mill is generally 15 to 20mm, and the granularity of finished products is usually 0.044 to 0.125mm. Raymond Mill is mainly used for grinding a variety of stone, ores, building materials, chemical materials, such as graphite, talc, kaolinite, limestone and other materials, etc. It's suitable for engineering and projects with high requirements for some material fineness.
Ball mill is widely used in black and non-ferrous metals processing, fertilizer processing, refractory materials processing and manufacturing, and so on. It can grind the material in dry type and wet type. The finished product fineness is up to 425mesh, which is commonly used for material grinding of mineral processing production line.
The ball mill has fast discharging speed, so its finished grain size is relatively coarse. Its grinding granularity is 0.3 to 0.2mm or 0.074mm in 45%~65%. Raymond Mill belongs to ultra-fine grinding equipment, the grinding fineness reaches 2μm or below. Common grinding machines cannot meet these requirements. Raymond mill has the features of stable performance, easy to operate, lower energy consumption, wide adjustment range of product granularity, so it's often used to grind non-metallic with medium hardness.
